Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Twayn when you use the Twayn app or this website. By creating an account you agree to them, to our privacy policy and to our community guidelines. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Twayn.

1. Who can use Twayn

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be able to form a binding agreement, and not be barred from using Twayn by law or by a previous removal.
  • One person, one account. Your profile must be you: your real first name, your own recent photos and your real plans.
  • Twayn is for people, not businesses. You may not use it to sell tours, trips, rooms, services or anything else.

2. Your account

Keep access to your email secure, because that’s how you sign in. You’re responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at support@twayn.tryletterway.com if you think someone else has used it.

3. Your content

You own the photos, words and messages you add (“your content”). You give Twayn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process your content only to run and improve Twayn and to keep it safe. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for safety or legal reasons. You confirm you have the right to share your content.

4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

You may not post or send anything that:

  • involves anyone under 18 in any sexual way, or sexualises minors in any form;
  • is nudity or sexually explicit, or offers or asks for sexual services or “hosted”/paid companionship;
  • harasses, threatens, bullies, stalks or intimidates anyone;
  • is hateful or discriminatory towards a group based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
  • promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism or illegal activity;
  • impersonates someone, uses someone else’s photos, or misleads people about who you are;
  • is spam, a scam, a request for money, or advertising;
  • infringes someone’s intellectual property or privacy, including sharing another person’s contact details without permission.

There is no tolerance for this content or for abusive users. Anyone can block a person or report a profile or message from inside the app. We review reports and act on them within 24 hours: we remove the content and suspend or permanently remove the account responsible, and we report illegal content to the relevant authorities.

5. Meeting people

Twayn introduces people; it doesn’t vet them. We don’t run criminal background checks, and we can’t guarantee anyone’s identity, intentions or behaviour, online or in person. You are responsible for your interactions with other members. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you’re going, and read our safety tips. If you’re ever in danger, contact local emergency services first.

6. Twayn Plus and purchases

  • Twayn is free to use. Twayn Plus and trip passes are optional paid extras.
  • Purchases are made and billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, under their terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in your Google Play or App Store account settings. Deleting the app or your Twayn account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
  • A trip pass lasts the stated number of days and does not renew.
  • Refunds are handled by Google or Apple under their refund policies, except where the law gives you other rights.
  • Safety features, including blocking and reporting, are always free.

7. Our service

We work to keep Twayn available and useful, but we provide it “as is” and may change, pause or stop features. We may remove content or suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, with or without notice. You can stop using Twayn and delete your account at any time.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Twayn is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of any member online or offline. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

9. Intellectual property

The Twayn name, logo, app and website belong to Twayn. Place names come from GeoNames (geonames.org), used under CC BY 4.0.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use Twayn means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
